After dating for two months, Jake Paul proposed Tana Mongeau on her 21st birthday in Vegas.
Jake made a vlog on his YouTube channel titled “WE ACTUALLY GOT ENGAGED…” on how and what he planned for the proposal.
DATE AND VENUE
Jake and Tana announced their wedding date as 28 July. The #Jana wedding took place at the graffiti mansion in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Graffiti mansion is an amazing concept made by Armani Izadi, of calling up graffiti artists for painting an enormous house according to different decoration projects. It was painted with “#JanaForever”, “@JakePaul”, “@TanaMongeau” written all over it. In the middle of the party artists painted the couple’s portrait on the wall.
People were very excited about the very ‘Jana’ wedding but the scorching heat had all of the guests fanning themselves. What else could anyone expect out of an outdoor summer wedding in Vegas.
The main area for the ceremony had the capacity of only 80 guests and thus couldn’t fit all of the 200 or more guests. According to some youtubers, only the VIPs were allowed to sit but even VIPs didn’t get to see the whole thing due to media blocking the view.
The arrangements were different from the conventional setup. The afterparty or the reception was held at Sugar Factory.
Her dress was definitely a highlight of the ceremony. She wore a strapless white bodice with a sweetheart neckline having lace detailing. It was white and baby pink in colour.
It was a multi-tiered cake which was cut with a sword by Jake. He slashed the cake until it was all over the floor.
THE LIVE STREAM SHADE
Fans are getting refunds for the $50 they paid for the live stream. This was due to the bad quality and the glitches of the live stream.
Or would you say ‘the fight drama’. A very staged looking fight took place at the main area for the wedding. Tana addressed the fight in an Instagram post, by mentioning that someone threw an entire drink at them at the altar and that it wasn’t a part of her plan.
WAS IT FAKE?
Knowing the couple’s love for views and a greater audience, people are calling it a clout wedding. It’s been hard for viewers to believe the wedding firstly because the couple married after dating for such a short time.
A girl on twitter researched and tweeted that the wedding was fake because you need a license to get married in Nevada. She also mentioned that approved licenses are searchable and couldn’t find any to prove the wedding legal or real.
Many people believe that the wedding was a publicity stunt and it was for the finale of their show on MTV.
On the other hand, Jake reacted to the news in one of his youtube videos saying that he doesn’t understand why only 50% people believe the wedding is real and not the others.
The couple’s fans are happy for them but on the other hand some people are still not sure if the wedding was real or just a stunt for content and publicity. We’ll all know with time.
