Never have I ever is the complicated school life of an Indian-American teen Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan). It displays how American culture clashes with conservative Indian discipline guidelines. She lives with her mom in Southern California and is not happy with her Indian cousin Kamala (Richa Moorjani) moving in with them.
Devi is a wanna be cool girl and makes her friends a plan on how they all can be cool. She goes after finding popularity. Fantasizing about her school’s most good looking and popular guy – Paxton Hall-Yoshida (Darren Barnet) is her priority.
Devi is the most intelligent girl in her class and always looks forward to doing more than her rival Ben (Jaren Lewison). She is hard on herself and runs away from truths. While her mother (Poorna Jagannathan) continues to control her life to keep her in check, her life turns way more complicated than she anticipated.
DO I RECOMMEND IT?
